Chiropractic Care

Are you in pain?

Have you been injured in a motor vehicle accident? Hurt yourself playing sport? Are you suffering low back, pain neck pain, headaches, neck/shoulder stiffness, upper back pain, from work or home duties? Chiropractic may be able to help you.

Doctors of chiropractic are unique. They recognise the importance of the body's in-built ability to heal itself and the vital role a healthy nervous system plays in regulating your health.

The master organ in the body is the brain and spinal cord. It communicates to the rest of the body via the spinal cord (one giant nerve) which is encased in the vertebral column (backbone). The vertebral column is made up of many small bones called vertebrae. Between each bone, smaller nerves exit to supply the rest of the body with nerve impulses which allow us to function. The nervous system is similar to an electrical wiring system in your house. If one of the wires is tampered with, it won't work as well as it potentially could. Your nervous system is the same. When moving vertebrae become misaligned or "stuck", irritation of the nerve can be the result. This compromises nerve function and ultimately limits the body's capacity for optimum health. It is from between each vertebrae that the nerves leave the spinal cord allowing the brain to co-ordinate and communicate to the body (for example with the heart, lungs, stomach, glands that secrete hormones, muscles and more).

Chiropractors are trained specialists in diagnosing skeletal, muscular and nervous problems. Your Chiropractor then corrects the problems with a series of spinal adjustments and/or soft tissue therapy, which restores full nerve function and decreases your pain.

As well as effectively treating low back pain, neck pain and headaches, Chiropractors can treat all areas of the musculoskeletal system:

  • Knee pain, shoulder pain
  • Hamstring/groin
  • Whiplash
  • Tennis elbow
  • Plantar fascitis
  • Oedema (swelling)
  • Colic infants
  • Pregnancy

Our Chiropractic clinic has a holistic approach to chiropractic care and we use a variety of techniques to suit your individual needs.

Food For Thought

"The people who say they don’t have time to take care of themselves will soon discover they’re spending all their time being sick."
