To whom it may concern

I wish to express my thanks to Ilan Rossanis for the care and treatment he carried out as part of the remedial massage therapy for pain in both my shoulders and back.

Ilan listened to my problems carefully, assessed the issues and spent sufficient time to understand my pain, when it occurred, what actions caused it and what limitations in my arm movements caused the pain. He was asked to commence treatment slowly and to ensure my threshold points were not exceeded.

After only 2 sessions of 1 hour each I could feel the improvements immediately. I was able to move more freely and my arm movements improved considerably. I was able to return to swimming in the ocean with much less pain and easier arm movements. Another 1 hour session had almost returned me to normal with minimal pain, which was a huge relief. He worked together with my wellness chiropractor in unison and I could see the benefits of this dual treatment working day by day.

Would I recommend Ilan for further remedial massage to others, absolutely. He listened, he cared, he worked with me and assisted in a return to a less painful state for both my back and arms. I was and still am a very happy customer and I would recommend him to anyone suffering similar pain and constricted arm movements for remedial massage treatment.

Tammy Potts (age 27) works as a Travel Coordinator and Office Worker, which involves a lot of computer work. She was constantly getting headaches, pain in the right shoulder due to working on a computer all day (Prolonged Static Working Posture).

The conditions lasted for 2-3 years with having headaches every day. Tammy rated the intensity of her pain with 8 out of 10. She had the pain in her shoulder at least twice a week, with some nights she was in that much pain that she would cry.

The only past treatment was Panadol almost every day, which could lead to liver and kidney damage if used long term.

"I am a much happier person (so says my boyfriend), after Paul helped me with my condition," Tammy says. She feels great and only gets a headache maybe once a week, if not at all. Her shoulder is 90% better, only aches now and then, but is nowhere near as painful as before the Chiropractic treatments. With all the good advice from Paul, she can stretch and manage it better herself. Thanks to her boyfriend, who was referring her to Active Care.

Ray Allan (age 67) suffered from Restleg Syndrome (RLS) and Lower Back Pain for 20 years. His wife Shona was disturbed at sleep every night. Ray had difficulty in walking short distances and had to stop and sit down after 300m. He was also unable to carry out weight bearing tasks including many domestic duties, due to Lower Back Pain.

"My condition caused severe lack of sleep, frustration and low moral effecting the family," he says. "I was unable to participate in normal activities". Ray received physiotherapy treatments, anti-inflammatory and needed a lot of bed rest.

After Ray received Chiropractic Care at Active Care, he feels excellent. His back pain is relieved and the effects of RLS are reduced. He has got now the ability to attend gym sessions, do some gardening and is able to walk up to 2km.

A family friend, who also attends the practice with her family, referred Ray to Active Care.

At 72, Karrinyup grandfather John Uyen is a self confessed 'bikeaholic'.
At least twice a week, the retired carpenter and HBF member meets up with friends, hops on his bike and pedals his way around Perth.
"I love it, I get a kick out of it," he says.
John's a member of the 270-strong Over 55 Cycling Club and his wife Anna is the group's president.
They joined seven years ago after picking up a pamphlet at a seniors' event.
"We meet about 7.30am every Wednesday in summer at various places in the metropolitan area," explains John.
"I will cycle about 60 to 65 kilomtetres on a Wednesday morning. Some of them who are a bit younger and fitter go a bit longer and a bit faster and some who are coming out of hip or knee replacements might do about 20 to 25 kilometres."
The social aspect is a big plus for John. "We're always going out to little parties for people turning 65, 70."
And, of course, there are also the health benefits.
"I had high blood pressure when I started out. Now it's perfect," says John, adding that he also shed weight when he first began.
On Saturday mornings, the club also hosts shorter, more informal rides.

If you would like to join the group please contact Active Care Chiropractic we will forward to John.
