Kate Simpson – Remedial Massage Therapist
Kate graduated from the 2 year Diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy in 2006 as one of the top 4 students. In February 2007 Kate had started her own business in Remedial Massage focusing on Corporate Massage and by January 2008 had combined that business with Personal Training as a dual health component.
Kate has been working in the Corporate Massage industry for the past 7 years, and has also done both paid and volunteer work involved in various events such as Marathons/ Fun runs, City to Surf competitions and Mental Health Week. Kate recently spent a year abroad in Europe where she worked in Verbier, Switzerland on a prestigious Ski Resort doing Remedial Massage for the winter of 2008-2009 for The Verbier Touch managed by Brigitta Fairhall.
Kate is a dedicated sports player in both Netball and Touch Rugby and has a strong interest in various types of fitness, as well as health and wellbeing from both a professional & personal point of view.
Kate uses a variety of techniques in her treatments from Soft Tissue Therapy & Deep Tissue Therapy, Trigger Point Therapy, Sports Massage, Swedish Massage, Myofascial Release, PNF Stretching as well as Postural & Comprehensive Assessments.
Kate feels that the benefits of Remedial Massage Therapy, sometimes alongside other alternate therapies can help prevent injuries and/or aid in the recovery of injuries, reduce stress, enhance muscle & joint performance as well as assisting the body to reach its optimum function again.
